[edit] General Information

The Alfar deity has warped the minds of the race. Now kindness is nonexistent within Alfar culture. If the race is not basking in the suffering of others or destroying something, they are worshiping their god-king.

Calling Nagast their homeland, the Alfar appear to materialize from the night air as they cruelly raid deep within the lands of the foreigner. After butchering anything in their torturous path they disappear again into the night leaving behind a wake of destruction.

When in battle the Alfar are feared for their unmistakable skill and bravery. Unless an Alfar believes an order is from Melek, they tend to follow their own reasoning and avoid any strategic grand plans. An Alfar tends to react according to revert to his lust for the suffering of others during battle, seeking only to inflict pain and death rather than fight for a cause. Occasionally a group of raiding buddies will stick together throughout battle.

[edit] Culture

Nagast has only one law, that of Melek. Alfar need no explanation to loyally follow the often strange will of Melek. The ambitious Melek is an insane strategist who has many goals for all of Agon. At times Melek becomes so engrossed with his scheming that he retreats and leaves the Alfar to themselves for a time. These times when there is no leadership often lead to chaos amongst the Alfar.

The Alfar race is carefully analyzed by Melek. The weak and unintelligent are often killed in order to promote a stronger race. This weeding out process is usually performed by the Horned Circle.

[edit] Severii

The Severii are a militant race that once ruled the Nagast. Their fortified cities are found scattered throughout the Nagast. The Severii now roam the streets of their old towns as the undead, a state they accepted in order to worship the skeletal dragon god Cyriacus.

[edit] Naedhra

The Naedhra are tribes of mutant Alfar who were once created by Melek. These cave dwelling genetic experiments were formed during the initial breeding of the Alfar.

[edit] Slave Army

A rebellion, led by an escaped Mirdain named Cerulean, is taking place on Nagast. The rebellion has already won two battles with the Alfar and now has many former slaves joining its ranks. It is unknown whether Cerulean's army plans to gain freedom by going to Mercia or will engage the Alfar capital city.

[edit] Groups

[edit] Unseen Radiance

These Deathless Mages have served Melek since the beginning of the Alfar. Though they are true servants of Melek, they often overstep their bounds in their necromantic pursuits. When Melek is away they often completely direct their focus to their own pursuits.

[edit] Horned Circle

Meleks priesthood is similar to a permanent administration. Though they often abuse their power, the members of this priesthood have the ability to sentence any individuals to death that appear to weaken the Alfar race.

[edit] Night Scepter

This dedicated order of knights is one of Malek's most prized possessions. These warriors slay all enemies of Malek including monsters, mutants, and members of the slave army.

[edit] Salient Shadow

The Salient Shadow is an Alfar army elite unit capable of devastating the enemy. The Salient Shadow often launch raids into enemy lands. On occasion recruits for this group are accepted from outside clans to aid them on their missions.

[edit] Race Details

The Alfar magic tends to fluctuate as it emanates from the unpredictable Melek. The Alfar are born naturally adept to magical arts.

The Alfar are carried by smaller wingless dragons. The features of the shulgan suggest that not many generations ago the species was capable of flight, but they have since adapted to underground life. These Drakes possess large white eyes that glow and sharp claws that are used for digging. When in battle a Drake will swing its sharp tail as a defensive weapon as it breathes fire on the enemy.

The Alfar carried specially crafted Ilshards. These metal blades modeled after a spiders leg can only be crafted by a mastersmith. Often the Alfar will treat the tips of the blades with poison before a battle.

Alfar hate all other intelligent life forms. This distain creates conflict when it comes to forming alliances. It is rare that any Alfar clan possesses members of another race.
