The goddess came to the cold world and saw its emptiness. She took pity upon the lifeless terrain and with a powerful voice commanded, "With fire I awake you."
The molten rock within the earth came alive. Lava rose up and melted away the ice, revealing fields.
Then the goddess announced, "With children I bless you."
Life sprung up from the oceans and onto the lands. Though the life around her pleased the goddess, she felt lonely amongst it.
Again she spoke, "With the spark I ennoble you."
Then the races of Agon came to be, offering worship to the goddess in all of her wisdom.

The children of the goddess offered prayers to her and pleased her as they learned language and art.
Over time however, some people grew hateful and selfish.
Empires rose up and the people began to kill one another. Many turned away from the goddess. The goddess was deeply saddened. The goddess could not bear to leave her children despite all of it, and continued to watch over them.

While the names of those who destroyed the goddess have been forgotten, their deeds have lived on through the races.
The races began to gather the word stones that had been scattered ever since their creation. In obtaining them they gained great power and learned many secrets. Still, this power was not enough and they wanted more.
The ambitious word stone holders entered the Halls of the Goddess. There they used the gathered power against her. When the goddess fell all was plunged into darkness.

Taking all power that once belonged to the goddess, the usurpers divided Agon. Each new ruler controlled a part of Agon from a heavenly throne.
The ambitions of the gods led to conflict among them. Soon all of Agon and the heavens were at war.
Even the gods fought with weapons upon the surface of Agon. The war spanned for centuries and many were killed.

The world was torn apart. Those who longed for dominance realized the need for a truce.
Some word stones had been lost by those who had fallen in battle. Those gods who had survived had little strength left. There was no longer any deity capable of living in the Halls of the Goddess.
Hundreds of years have passed. Gods have risen and fallen, some have conquered thrones and gained the worship of entire nations.
[edit] Sixth Fragment
It has been predicted that the waring of the gods will continue until mortals are able to gather enough word stones to gain control.
With word stones scattered throughout Agon after the Usurper Wars, the Chaldean priesthood has sought to find them.
Unfortunately, as it appeared the collecting of the stones was near completion, Melek attacked Chaldea. With the help of the Alfar, the Chaldeans were easily overcome. Even as this is written Melek is approaching the gates of Ashur. It seems all is lost.
The pages of this book are to be scattered in the final act of the Chaldean priesthood. With the scattered pages will be the information gathered on the word stones. A day will come that the fragments will appear and the mortals will once again seek the stones.
