[edit] General Information
Using magic and poison to render victims helpless, the eight legged Giant Spiders will suck the life out of living bodies. Giant Spiders often hunt together in matriarch controlled packs.
[edit] Behavior
The matriarchs lair serves as the center of Giant Spider community. The colonies spread out in concentric circles from the main lair. As the colony expands outward, it attacks anything that may hinder its growth.
The humaniod race of Sarlid often work in a symbiotic relationship with the Giant Spiders. The Sarlid live and fight with the Giant Spider when any threat comes to their territory.
[edit] Environment
Giant Spiders avoid the colder regions of Agon. They prefer dark and secluded hiding places like those found in forests and caves.
[edit] Variations
The undead remains of the Giant Spiders are Bone Spiders. Though they tend to be fragile and harmless, they are dangerous in large packs.
Green and translucent bodies make the the Ghost Spiders easily identified. These creatures are able to inject poison, use large fangs to bite, shoot pieces of web that slow the enemy, and reduce overall combat abilities of any opponent.
A larger cousin of the Ghost Spider is the red Doom Spider. Much more dangerous than a ghost spider, these translucent arthropods can cast spells that severely reduce combat capabilities of prey. Once they have hindered an enemy they can easily harm them with their energy draining fangs.
The Hairy Spider is distinguished by exactly what its name implies. While the Hairy Spider may cause damage its strongest attribute is the ability to inject a poison that reduces an opponents speed for a short while.
