Chaldean cities and monuments can still be found in Agon.

Remnants of the ancient Chaldean empire can be found throughout all of Agon. Though this empire once thrived, only the old moss covered monuments and decaying cities remain.

The advanced Chaldean civilization began with the Human farmers of the Eanna river. Ashur-Sin united these people and became the king of the Chaldeans. The Chaldeans were scientists, inventors, and mathmaticians who developed writing and the calendar.

[edit] Golden Age of the Chaldeans

The metropolis of Ashur was founded by the legendary King Ashur-Sin, and served as the leading city of the Chaldeans. The times were peaceful during the establishment of this empire. As the Chaldean became more wealthy however, other inhabitants of Agon began to raid Chaldean settlements. To end these attacks the Chaldeans deployed a series of military campaigns on all who had been raiding.

While dealing with the subdued raiding tribes new policies were established by Ashur-Awan II. New cities were established in the foreign lands and all tribes were invited to live within them. After allegiance to Ashur was sworn, the new citizens of Chaldea were educated and given full rights.

[edit] Chaldean Empire

The Chaldeans maintained peace throughout Agon, rarely instigating war. Tribes began joining the Chaldeans, lured by its advanced technology and wealth. The exponential growth quickly allowed the Chaldean civilization to become the greatest empire ever known to Agon.

The Chaldean Empire expanded into the homelands of the Mahirim and the Orks. Both races proved to be dangerous threats to the Chaldeans.

Ashur understood the threat of the Alfar to the Empire. An attack was launched against the rebellious race. Although the Chaldeans defeated the Alfar upon the planes of Moldar, the Alfar beneath the surface of Agon could not be defeated. In order to keep the underground Alfar subdued, fortified posts were established at all exits to the Alfar caverns.

The Ithwen, Dwarves, and Mirdain all had peaceful relations and trade with the Chaldeans.
